Head – Health Pricing and Analytics

Position Title: Head–Health Pricing and Analytics

Report to: Chief Health Officer

Job Purpose: To Build end-to-end data management process (norms, collection, storage, reporting) and utilize them through extensive analysis to deliver concrete actions and projects to improve our products, pricing, operation and services in order to deliver the key revenue and profitability targets for health line of business for all company entities (Life+GI)

Job Authority:

  1. Implement health data management framework
  2. Be responsible for the centre of technical excellence and analytics for health products
  3. Implement advanced analytics, data modelling & portfolio management to effectively manage the health business & improve claims cost control

Role & Responsibility

Sales & Strategy

  1. Track, monitor and work with entities to achieve the budgeted health GWP targets for life and GI entities and APE and NBV targets for life entities
  2. Build health data framework in order to developing new innovative products or revamp existing products/ benefits, underwriting guidelines, services but also increase operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  3. Map competition and industry updates and help ideate new campaigns, schemes to help increase growth in health as well as market share in health
  4. Support formulating the overall health selling and servicing strategy in co-ordination with all entities during Strat Plan process with a focus on profitable growth

Profitability

  1. Track, monitor and work with entities to help achieve the budgeted LR, COR and UE targets across life and GI
  2. Undertake portfolio analysis in order to review profitability performance at product, entity and portfolio levels and give updates on adverse trends to entities and regional teams
  3. Work with entities to ensure that the products have sustainable pricing as per plan and recommend price revisions and product amendments as and when required
  4. Follow-up on corrective actions to improve profitability and ensure implementation
  5. Implement robust analytics tools & mechanisms for tracking fraud, waste and abuse and work with health claims and operations team to develop tools for claims cost containment
  6. Work with IT and entities to launch a health analytics framework (data lake, MDM etc) in order to unify business, claims & partnership info in order to design and price lifestyle-led products.

Governance & reporting

  1. Help Chief Health officer conduct Monthly and Quarterly Health Governance meeting, escalate concerns from weekly meetings
  2. Implement strong and robust reporting on health business performance, profitability and servicing KPIs including regular updates to entities/management, development of health portfolio tracker etc.
