Our Client is a top tier law firm with presence in over 30 countries across the globe. They are seeking an
experienced Legal Secretary who is energetic, takes initiative and a great team player to oversee a range of administrative and secretarial tasks. As the legal secretary, your principal goal is to support attorneys by performing a range of clerical duties including attending court proceedings, researching case information, scheduling meetings, and filing legal documents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support one or multiple fee earners to help them optimize their time
- Track deadlines to ensure documents are filed in a timely manner
- Represent the company well when dealing with clients and officials
- Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
- Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents, such as motions or letters of intent
- Perform secretarial duties, including maintaining lawyers’ calendars, scheduling appointments, making copies, and compiling complex documentation
- Ad hoc projects according to needs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8 years experience in legal services and/or professional services background
- Experience working in a relevant, fast-paced legal environment
- Legal knowledge and understanding
- Clear and concise written skills to ensure efficient and accurate communication
- Organizational skills including efficient prioritizing, scheduling, multi-tasking and time management to meet deadline
- Attention to detail for reviewing important documentation
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint). Knowledge of Bloomberg, Factset, and/or desk-top publishing tools will be an advantage
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Bachelor degree or Legal Secretary Certificate
